I think it might be a good idea to look into starting a paddling club here. Ive seen enough people out paddling here in Clarksville to support a club.
  Check out

Their is a group in Nashville TN you may like.Paddle Adventures is the name.Nashville TN, paddling group is how I found it on internet search. Lots of members and with a lot of different paddling trips in the works at all times. If your in Clarksville you can always try the red river just down the road."red river canoe tn"
Is what i used for internet search.the red river canoe place has very good shuttle rates.20$ will get you a 12-8 mile paddle and maybe even better for not to much more.the take would be where you park and load your gear on their bus.

Thanks much for the information. I'm about to get really busy on the water. My new kayak is on the shipping truck on its way to me.
Should be good water for a Red River

Red river is looking good even if it is a bit high. Last weekend there was some rescues on the West fork of some people in canoes.
Well, when I ran it, half the canoes

and kayaks I saw would have been totally incompetent on high water. As long as they don't drown, the outfitters are happy to take their money.
  100% Agree

I agree they will send anyone down river with little or no knowledge. This town really could use some sort of organized training.
