  places to paddle

We do have some really great stretches of water in NW Ohio. Some stretches of the Maumee River are pretty damn pretty. The inner waters of the Woodtick peninsula and it's islands are pretty neat to check out. The Sandusky, Vermillion Huron and Portage rivers when running are extremely scenic. We also have the Erie Islands and the mouth of the Detroit River houses an international wildlife refuge that is pretty nice to paddle. Don't knock it until you try it. To top it off Toledo is basically within a day's drive of some of the most incredible rivers and lakes in the Midwest.
