From 4/13 to 4/17 the Current above Akers Ferry was running around 2 feet. That's not unusual at all.
On 4/18 it rose to 14 feet. That's fairly unusual.
Today is is slightly below 4 feet, and dropping;
4 feet would be fun.
The Jacks Fork at Mountain View peaked at slightly above 14 feet on the 18th. It is now below 4 feet. A good example of why we always say if heavy rains are expected on the Jacks; you might want to make your camp up on the side of a big hill........instead of a gravel bar 2 feet above river level at bed time. :^).
I wouldn't be surpised to hear it flooded some of the camp at Alley Springs.
The North Fork near Tecumseh peaked at nearly 20,000 cubic feet per second on the 18th. It started rapidly dropping on the 19th.
More rain is in the forecast for coming week.
Lots of rivers in cental & southern Missouri are experiencing the same sort of action lately.
