  NEPA Rec Paddlers

This may be out there already, but I am only on this forum since last summer, my apologies if this is a duplicate post of sorts.

IMO nobody should paddle alone, but again that is just my opinion, this post isn't here to debate that or anything else for that matter, I just want to help myself and others get to paddle as much as possible.
So, what I am trying to accomplish is this, a post you can refer to that will get you a paddle buddy for the day, a shuttle, local info etc.

All I ask if your interested respond to this post with any of the following, where you paddle, what you paddle (size matters, lol), when you can paddle, shuttle help, etc.

Where: various sections of the Upper Delaware, lakes in 100 mile radius of 18252, some local creeking, couple sections of Schuylkill R.

What: 10.6 rec singles or 14 tandem make up the fleet

When: mainly weekends, some weekdays with notice, alot of night paddles (lakes w lights), venturing into overnights this year

Shuttle help: I can be a help on the paddlers wanting to do the Lehigh around White Haven/Jim Thorpe area, or most of the Schuylkill with very little notice

Added: I actually represent a group of 4-5 people from the Tamaqua/Lansford area, we try to group paddle as much as possible, but between all our schedules someone is almost always looking for a paddle buddy.

Hopefully if some of us do this it will aide many of us in more time on the water. I know personally I missed quite a few days last year due to lack of partner or shuttles.

Also, 2 dogs are members of our group, pfd's of course, so we are pet friendly

I paddle the Upper Delaware and West Branch. I have a 15' Prijon Cruiser. Paddle during the day on weekdays. No weekends or holidays until Fall. I drive a small car and have carried 3 kayaks on the roof. I like to practice, practice, practice all kinds of rescues. Class ll is great, class I is okay, flatwater between bubblie is tolerable but long hours on flatwater won't work for me unless it's in rough conditions with lots of wind and whitecaps to play in. Have cold water gear and live close enough to go out for a few hours. Cell 570 352 8806 leave a message. Dennis

Hey Wolf,
Even though there's still lots of snow on the ground the time to set-up some trips is here now. The UDR is a rare find in our area but it does not last long. I paddle weekdays but no weekends of holidays. We can go long or short or even a park and play. Class II and III are easy to find right now. Call my cell 570 352 8806 Dennis
  Where were you guys

Hi I live in east stroudsburg, and own an old town guide 147. My wife refuses to go down the delaware, however I have been down it many times in the past 30 years. I have only taking the guide down it once, and that was for a mid November turkey/archery bear suicide mission. We survived, never fired a shot, or launched an arrow. We had received a ton of sorry looks on both sides river. I have 3 vehicles equipped with thule racks to carry the 80lb barge.
  Okay Pathwacker, your on!

we have a group putting in in Easton, (Scotts Park), Saturday morning the 25th. We will be at the launch til approx 730 am.. We are paddling for 2 days, but are more than open to companions on the trip. Join us along the way, come out for day 2 (Upper Black Eddy) on Sunday, so far there are four of us going, I will check this a few times before Friday night to see if anyone is interested..

The boats are generally 10 ft ranged rec boats, but bring whatever you like, try not to bring an 18 and leave us playing catch up all day, lol
Thanks Wolf but I got a wedding...
