This may be out there already, but I am only on this forum since last summer, my apologies if this is a duplicate post of sorts.
IMO nobody should paddle alone, but again that is just my opinion, this post isn't here to debate that or anything else for that matter, I just want to help myself and others get to paddle as much as possible.
So, what I am trying to accomplish is this, a post you can refer to that will get you a paddle buddy for the day, a shuttle, local info etc.
All I ask if your interested respond to this post with any of the following, where you paddle, what you paddle (size matters, lol), when you can paddle, shuttle help, etc.
Where: various sections of the Upper Delaware, lakes in 100 mile radius of 18252, some local creeking, couple sections of Schuylkill R.
What: 10.6 rec singles or 14 tandem make up the fleet
When: mainly weekends, some weekdays with notice, alot of night paddles (lakes w lights), venturing into overnights this year
Shuttle help: I can be a help on the paddlers wanting to do the Lehigh around White Haven/Jim Thorpe area, or most of the Schuylkill with very little notice
Added: I actually represent a group of 4-5 people from the Tamaqua/Lansford area, we try to group paddle as much as possible, but between all our schedules someone is almost always looking for a paddle buddy.
Hopefully if some of us do this it will aide many of us in more time on the water. I know personally I missed quite a few days last year due to lack of partner or shuttles.
Also, 2 dogs are members of our group, pfd's of course, so we are pet friendly
