Took our scouts there awhile back

Did some paddling on Cedar Creek as well as on the Congaree. As I recall, there was a good bit of current on the Congaree that our weakest paddlers had difficulty with. Paddling Cedar Creek was gorgeous with all the overhanging Spanish Moss and the Bald Cypress. On the open water stretches it was like going back in time to some primordial landscape. Only drawback was a fair amount of deadfall which necessitated getting in & out of the boats too frequently for my taste. There is a nice group campsite right near the Cedar creek put-in. It's a clearing about the size of a football field with portajohns and picnic tables
