Posted by: thebob.com on Oct-21-12 10:35 PM (EST)

Many thanks to Mike Champion for his efforts in producing the Rendezvous slide show.
A good effort on your behalf Mike; we enjoyed watching it tonight, and am sure we will watch it again in the future.
Loved the music you selected too.

Also, thanks to those who contributed their photos to help make the slide show a reality.

  Finally Got My Pics Finished
Posted by: wildernesswebb on Oct-22-12 12:35 PM (EST)
Good seeing old friends and making some new ones like Peter and Larry. It was bittersweet to end up Sunday on the Jack's Fork. Hadn't paddled that stretch in a long time and directly across from a bluff with some memories is a clear cut, a bunch of erosion on the gravel bar, and a "Trophy" house. Here's the link to my pictures.

....certainly seem inclined towards paddling fine boats (LOL)! I liked the Millbrook Souhegan, but now he needs to buy a Coho and bring it for me to try (LOL)! Maybe youse two can carpool and make it easier to come every 'Vous?

First weekend in May..that coincides with Connecticut Ugly Season and Maine Mud Season!

Thought that was a Blackhawk.. with the elegant tush. (the boats..that is)

Unless Peter wants to bring his river barge..Not the Millbrook..the Blue Hole that was like us gaining weight with age.

Got in pretty late last night, (ending with dense fog, winding roads, 45mph, an accident, .... very slow and nervous for the last two hours) didn't watch it till this morning.

That last song choice was INSPIRED! Nice Job, Mike.
That ought to be put up on YouTube so folks who weren't there can see it.

Thanks again Mike for the slide show CD. Great of you to do that for us.

Terry, thank you too.

Can't wait until my wife and I are able to sit together and look through them all.

Got in last night about 7:30 after an uneventful drive through Arkansas and a peaceful sleep at Lake Catherine State Park there Sunday night.

Sure enjoyed the trip and the photos help to savor and share it!

Best to all!

and, more importantly a very nice time. I got home mid-afternoon yesterday after an uneventful drive. I plugged Mike's DVD into the player and enjoyed the event all over again. I'll do that many times. This morning I found Terry's pictures online and enjoyed them too.

You have a very special river and a very welcoming group of people. Thanks for the hospitality, I'm glad I came and hope to see all of you again.

Mike,
Thanks for putting the video together, I know, or I should say Rob knows how much work goes into that. He is still working on video from our whitewater trip back in May. It is alot of work and I appreciate you getting it done before we left. Great trip, great friends and memories!

Mine in meeting Pete and Brian and seeing Pat D. poling up the Current below Baptist Camp -- quite inspirational! Sorry I missed the rest of the tribe. I am still ascending from the Baptist descent. Simply subversively divine.

I'm wasting away here in Urbana this weekend - except for going to Urbana's first football playoff game in two centuries.

Have a great time.

It was nice to meet you as well. We got a bit of rain on Wednesday, so we just ran from Akers down to Round Spring that day so as to make it off the river before the downpour. But the rain brought or kept the river up enough for us to run from Baptist Camp down to Aker's Ferry on Wednesday.

I had never done the stretch from Baptist to Cedar Grove before. We probably didn't have as many leaves left on the trees as you did on Tuesday, but it was still incredibly scenic.

Thanks for the invite to the Ron Day Voo but my window of opportunity happened earlier in the week (coinciding with the T shirt and shorts weather).

Glad to see you out there.

Thanks to those who shared the pics here.

And the water was on! Thanks to those that made the calls.

Sorry I didn't spend more time with the group. Getting to pole two of my favorite rivers was too great a temptation. A kid with a new toy, I guess.
I arrived Sunday the 14th and poled 5 straight days. The color was at it's peak early in the week.

1st week in May, I think
Posted by: pblanc on Nov-17-12 10:09 AM (EST)
At the North Fork of the White River near the little town of Dora, MO in south central Missouri.

At least there was discussion to that effect. I am not absolutely sure the issue is resolved, though so if no one else picks up on it here you might want to start a new thread.
