Heading up for a last minute camping trip this upcoming weekend at Camp Plymouth State Park. Not expecting great weather but Sat am and hopefully Mon am and lots of finger crossed time the rest of the weekend. Obviously Echo Lake is right there, but also noticed nearby Lake Amherst, Lake Rescue, Lake Pauline, Lake Ninevah, Cody Pond, and a bit further away but possibly worth it Knapp Brook Ponds. Just wondering if anyone has any advice on any of these - preferences, or suggestions for early am or even later in the day(maybe we'll get lucky with the weather) paddles. Looking for peaceful, scenic, enjoyable spots where we might even cross paths with some of natures great wildlife. Sorry for short time answers, but may go back up another time if we like it. Most of the group doesn't spend a lot of time paddling like I do so I would guess in the range of a 3 hour long paddle might do it for them. We all are using rec. boats for shoreline paddles. Thanks for any help / sdvice.
