Current River Report

Rob and I paddled this weekend on Friday and Saturday. Did a fishing trip, let me tell you fishing sucked but paddling was great and our weather was perfect, except for the darn wind. We did day trips, Friday from Akers to Pulltite and Saturday Pulltite to Round Spring. We never had to get out of the boats, you did have to pick your line carefully. Thursday night the Akers gauge was at .96, rain would be nice. But wildlife was out, tons of King Fishers (sp?), turtles, saw one mink and one eagle, lots of ducks, we couldn't have asked for a better trip, hope we get this weather for Rendezvous. I'm with Terry, there is enough water to paddle, so no worries.
