The Indian river south of Munising is a nice paddle. Off of highway 13. livery? none in the area....pretty much need 2 cars for a return. I start at widewaters campground and go to thunder lake road. nice day trip. Some tight spots but have fit a 16 foot canoe thru with no take-outs. Prefer kayak but need my canoe for 2. Will try to think of some more places for you. Sounds like you are traveling across the U.P.
