Good advice on the plastic map by Franko. Can I get it on this site or is it available at the Bay? I can't wait to go back to Catalina Island and try Avalon, and the snorkeling. Even though that was my first trip the swells out in the open ocean never bothered me. The only issue I ever had was trying to enter the Kayak in a hurry due to a seal not liking me bothering him in a cove! I had forgot my cell phone was in my pocket and it got wet when I went in the drink. The seal was probably thinking "tourist" lol. Thanks for the info and happy paddling.
