Info updates for those coming to the South Bass Island Kayak Rendezvous this weekend (June 8-10).
There is a group looking to make the crossing from the mainland to the Island at noon on Friday. Meet at the small beach east of the Miller ferry and be ready to launch at noon. Drop your gear, park in the free Miller Ferry Parking and walk back.
The Pot Luck will be held at the SBI park shelter house this year around 7ish on Friday evening. Bring a dish to share. We'll also have a couple of grills if you want to BBQ.
Main group usually leaves the beach at 10 am on Saturday morning for a day of paddling and we'll make our traditional group paddle to the harbor and then split off.
There will be a breakfast paddle on Sunday morning leaving at 8:30 a.m. We paddle to town for breakfast at Frosty's.
Thanks to those who ordered shirts, we had a ton of orders this year and I have a few extras in various sizes if you missed the initial order. They are poly shirts this year and the logo can be found at www.sbikayakrendezvous.com. Shirts are $12.
