We have paddled upstream from the public access. It's nice and quiet away from all the power boats on the main part of the lake. We did it at high water levels and were able to go back upstream under I-71.

The main part of the lake is pleasant enough except on weekends when boat traffic is high.

The ODNR website has good maps of other lakes in the area such as Pleasant Hill and Clear Fork

I was on Pleasant Hill Lake recently and w/ the power boats there was a LOT of chop... nothing you cant paddle thru but it was not peaceful. I'd like to paddle a lot this year and live by Cleveland, also selling/trading a 17' Necky Looksha. Email me if people get together for paddles, as I'd like to come along.
