Stick with original decision.

When this was discussed, we knew that dates weren't going to work for everyone but that we were going to set dates and stick with them. What was discussed was first of May for Spring and third week of October for Fall, I personally say that is what we stick with. It seemed like for folks who had to "plan" ahead preferred that we set something in place so they always knew what week it would be.
