  Ulster or Dutchess?

Which side of the river are you on?

Drop me a line. I know a number of other local paddlers looking for quiet water venues to paddle.

See you on the water,

  Quiet water...

in the Hudson Riv valley has a place in my world also(alongwith touring and whitewater).

Another suggestion: When you have a specific flatwater paddle in mind, post it here in advance with a date and time. (My own experience is, that this works much better than posting any kind of grouping.)

With enough heads-up, I might be available for a particular outing, and can sometimes convince two or three other paddlers(in rec yaks and canoe)to join the fun.

Creeks and rivers preferred: Walkill, Rondout, Fishkill, Esopus, Wappinger, Ten Mile--All good.
Have boats, will travel--Bob.

  Meet-Up Groups

The Mid Hudson ADK has a Meet-up Group, the Cold Spring Kayak Club, Meet-Up Hudson Valley Hikers, etc.

Shouldn't be hard to find some local paddlers.

You could attend the next Tune-Up skills session at The River Connection and meet 6-12 paddlers from the area in a class setting. (in the interest of another thread, yes this is a plug for a $10 skills class ;)

See you on the water,
Marshall
