...to look on P-Net's launch map, that will give you some idea of the fish creek to Rollin pond area. Look for RT 3 and Rt 30 intersection between Tupper lake and Saranac Lake then follow 30 north to Fish pond area.You can use those campgrounds as a base and go to other destinations. be aware the the wind is a major factor in the ADK's. So where you stay and where you paddle might be 2 different places on any given day. http://fishcreekpond.com/ http://fishcreekpond.com/canoeing.php Lake Placid area is about,roughly, approx. 45 minutes from Tupper Lake area. Saranac Lake area is 15 minutes to Lake Placid. Fish Creek ponds would work well for a base camp.
