I biked along the C&O up between Antietam and Shephardstown the day after the canoe trip. The river there sure looked inviting, and there were plenty of launches suitable for kayak, canoe, or raft. Next time I'll bike from Shephardstown north to see what that's like. We only got a couple of miles past the auto bridge. That campground there could be handy too. I'll have to cogitate on that some, and see whether I can find my panniers. It would be fun to bike there, camp, and spend some time wading.
