another boat for you to consider is the Lifetime Manta. It can hold up to 3 people or 500 lbs. Also very stable. I've had mine on lakes, ponds and the river going thru some small rapids with a problem. You can find them on Amazon for approx $500 which includes 2 back rests and 2 paddles. Thats where I got mine.
