I'd love to hear your thoughts on Canoes over kayaks for lake and river fishing, and what's driving your opinion. I'm genuinely curious.

I happen to agree, but my opinion is based on my very limited experience with a less than stellar SOT fishing kayak, that weighed in at almost 80 lbs, and had a tunnel hull design that stuck to rocks like chubby kid clings to his last Ho-Ho. I also don't care for the lack of mobility in a kayak, but Im willing to trade it out for less sail area on an open body of water. My assumption is that fishing kayaks must be much better in general than the one I tried...based on its growing popularity.
