My wife and I are considering a split fishing/paddling trip to the John Day and then into Oregon's wine country for a wine tasting tour for our 25th anniversary.

Sounds like I need to get her used to paddling her own kayak through bumpy stuff. The Shenandoah ought to be useful for that.
