  Fishing on the J-D

Guys I work with have done it. Fishing is good, so they say. All the guys I've talked to about it were using drift boats, but they tell me canoes are also good for much if not most of it. Although it's high on my list, I haven't done the trip yet, so I can't say much about whether it's worth the trip from Virginia or what part of it to do.

I read recently that there is a permit system starting this year on the J-D, and IIRC it is "first-come, first-served". There's a website for application....here ya go....
