Hello, new here, Ive been kayaking for 3 yrs now, I almost exclusively fish small lakes and even ponds sometimes.
Up until this season I have been using an entry level future beach trophy 120, its a sit in and while its served it's purpose well, I feel the need to upgrade to something better.
Looking in the 650-800 range, something short in the 11' or less.
the two potential ones outlined in the title seem to have most of what I am looking for within the price, the water is fish at biggest is 400 acres, usually much closer to 50 acres, I guess what i am looking to get is something more comfortable, and refined.I cant complain about my future beach, however I have tried some other emotions that were simply more comfortable.
I have small 5,5" and 190lbs, I usually like bringing two rods plus a net, occasionally there will be power watercraft where I fish, but i have managed those out of canoes and my future beach for yrs,
I am not familiar with the sit on top ones, but they seem to be the prevailing design for fishing platforms,I lm bass fish.
Anyhow, the budget is sub 1000, and closer to 800 is my limit.
Im in MA, so cold water is a concern some of the year, tho I am seldom past 30 yards from a shoreline.
Any rec's on other models? thoughts?
