..... if you are in Chicago latitudes you should (might) be able to view the Northern Lights this eve. into early am. Thurs. (10 pm - 2 am) .
She is hoping we might catch a glimps of them from here in MD ... slightly possible I think .
They are to be at a level 5 . For Chicago that means overhead ... I say look north to the horizon and if you don't see them , oh well .

I figure if they'd be visible from Chicago, they'd be visible from here too. I looked a few times but didn't see anything. Being in town, I might not see them if dim, but in that case I wouldn't be missing much anyway. As you say, "oh well", it was worth a try.

I saw an announcement of the display on the news and from what they said it seemed like tonight might be the night... but, alas, we have cloud cover today. We didn't last night... oh well, indeed. Think I'll have a look this evening anyhow.
