Years ago I quit subscribing to paddling magazines because they were too basic and mostly directed at intro level paddlers. I recently discovered Ocean Paddler, a UK publication. This timely discovery helps to get me through the winter and fired up for the coming season. Too, I had an e-conversation with the editor who said that in coming issues they were going to increase the coverage of North America. I strongly endorse this magazine.

Especially in light of SKM going defunct. Ocean Paddler's expanding coverage to the US might gain some subscribers here. I do wonder if British kayakers will be unhappy over losing some pages, IF the new material replaces some of their local content. If the new material purely adds pages to the typical content, everybody gets more.
