We pulled up on a little beach on a Key off Cedar Key, Fl. yesterday, and I pick up what I though was a bit of trash in a foot of water and it turned out to be a band from a bird.
It is a very large one about the size of my thumb in diameter, so it must have been on a big bird.
About a quarter mile away there was an Eagles nest in a tree, and if it came from an Eagle, it will be a great souviner .
I'll call the number on it today, and hopefully will find out the history and what kind of bird.
I'll report back with my findings, or lack of.

Be glad you're not here. Wet today and winter storm warning tomorrow. My guess is that the eagles ate whatever bird that band was attached to.
It is delightful here|
