Janet Moreland with LoveYourBigMuddy Expedition is nearing her completion of a solo-3800 mile journey from the utmost source of North Americas Longest river system. She is about 30 bends away from the Gulf of Mexico and arriving in New Orleans around Thanksgiving.
Janet started over 7-months ago at Browers Spring Montana--utmost source of the Missouri-Mississippi River system.
This historic journey is the FIRST descent by a woman and also by and American!!! Two records which have slipped by even in the middle of our own country! The route has only been completed twice, one an Australian and the other a Canadian just last year...two separate expeditions.
Drop Janet some well deserved last bit of encouragement!!!

That is truly an amazing accomplishment. Lived in Idaho Falls ID for several years and frequented Ruby Lakes just north over the Montana border where the Ruby River begins its journey as the Missouri Headwaters. I guess she started ABOVE Ruby Lakes. WOW it must be a trickle of a creek!
Sorry I meant Red Rock Lakes and River|

Its been many years but I missnamed the area. Its Red Rock Lakes that I thought was the Missouri Headwaters. I guess I will locate Browers Springs on the map and be better informed.
Yep above the lake|
