...where fear crosses the line from a healthy fear or wariness to something more. I think reasonable caution and "fear" is absolutely necessary for our survival. People who laugh at truly fearful situations and claim they have no fear make me wary or suspicious of them, there's nothing shameful about healthy fear.
When I saw the OP I thought of real fear as you describe it.
