Of course, one can "trip" in a Hornbeck, a pro racing hull or a coracle, but I don't think that's the context of the question.
Water matters a lot in this choice -- white, flat or ocean -- as does paddler mass.
All in all, based only on hulls with which I have at least on at least some minimal personal experience, I'd vote for:
1. Hemlock SRT

3. Hemlock Peregrine (Bell Merlin 2 being close)
4. Bell/Bell Composites Magic
5. Clipper Sea-1
If I were doing mostly rivers with some whitewater, I'd probably only list my first two.
