Back to the "Real" world and all the drama and crap that goes with it today. Wish I were back on the river with my wife and buds! Missed our old friends that couldn't be there, but made some new ones. Here's the pics:

The North Fork certainly could have used more water, especially above Rainbow Spring ("The Falls" is below Rainbow).

Nice photos and a nice trip. That's the first time I've even seen the North Fork at low water. It was especially scratchy from Hebron to Twin Bridges, but certainly doable. Maybe a bit more rock dodging and smaller wave trains, but its all good. Glad I had a royalex boat to do it this time though. I'd hate to put one of my Blackhawks through some of those upstream sections. And I was greatly impressed with Bryant Cr. Why the heck haven't we been doing that right along? Very much like the Current, IMO.

The new owner has insulation on the framing and plans to turn it into a new bath house and build a new restaurant overlooking the river.

I am jealous and really hope that I can make one of the Ozark Rendezvous outings sometime in the future. Looked like some great paddling!

Had to throw out more than half of them because of camera shake. Gotta get a camera with image stabilization before next season.

Wednesday morning as I was preparing coffee I noticed the clouds across the campground as the sun was beginning to rise. I quickly poured the fresh brewed coffee into my thermos, got out my camera, and took a few quick photos during the magic light. I then poured my coffee and watched the magic slowly fade as I sipped away.
