Why the "s" ???

..... http:// or https:// .
The "s" (secure) doesn't link for me . If I want to check out an "s" link someone posted , I have to copy & paste into browser's search engine ... and worse than that , the link sticks in search engines drop down menu so I have to go and deleat it later .
I keep only 2 or 3 links in my search engine's drop menu , the ones I use all the time . Don't need the clutter , also keep search suggestions "turned off" too .
I don't like https:// cause it isn't a click on link for me ...

https not popping up as a link is not a bug, but a "feature" that almighty Bret specified. As a matter of fact, this forum could benefit from rudimentary HTML tags in posts, at least for links.
Https is fine...|

And while no security is perfect, I can name a number of local npn-profit sites around where I live that found out the hard way that this was a necessary concern.
