Saddened to learn of NT's Passing

Just returned from a long weekend in Maine. Watched my grandson play in his first HS Soccer game and joined my wonderful daughter-in-law in celebrating her birthday. When I returned home today and looked at the internet I was slammed by the news of Norb's passing.
Camping next to him at my first Raystown, I helped Norb set up our "rain dumping tarp setup" by joining my tarp to his. The rain dumping tarps were thoroughly tested that night and worked better than we would have ever guessed. Helped him clean up the detritus left in his campsite every morning after the night before. Remember talking about the state of the world, the state of canoeing and many points in between.
We camped on adjacent sites the next two years, although he was noticeability reticent the third year, and went home early. He never returned, then he stopped posting on pnet. When I heard through the grapevine he had sold all his boats I assumed the health issue he mentioned the time we first met had returned. Still, I was slammed with sadness when read about his passing.
The world is a poorer place without NT walking among us,
