I'm a proud owner of a camper van

I just bought one for $20,000 a 2003 versatile 190 roadtrek camper van. has 62,000 miles on it. Has all the basics- bed, microwave, tv, stove, potty, refrigerator, cabinetry. The shower is a little sketchy however. I ain't gonna miss sleeping on the ground or having to take a hike in the middle of the night to potty. I can definately slide two kayaks over the bed and into the center aisle. Im already thinkin about a hitch buddy on the back for inflatables and rack up top for a rec canoe. Anybody know where i can get a custom rack made and installed in the midatlantic region? I'm in wv.

Custom Rack - First Place to Look

Any decent welding shop can make you any kind of rack you want, designed to attach to any kind of roof that you wish. The livelihood of such shops is founded mostly on their ability to design and build things, and much less so on the methods used to connect the pieces (just like being a good carpenter involves many skills that are more important than being able to make cuts and drive nails or turn screws). If you go to a place that specializes in roof racks, all they will know how to do is consult books to order pre-made parts. They can't help you come up with a solution that isn't already supported by a huge customer base. Brand-name roof-rack companies MIGHT have the kinds of roof mounts you will need, but if not, turn to someone who's not constrained by what's in the catalog.

with a welding shop, that makes sense. Definately going to be a custom job.

  Enjoy!

I am at the point of letting my conversion van go. I did put a lot of money into it, but also had a lot of good times
