Great Grip for a little over 1$.

I had to share this. My daughter had trouble gripping her paddle, and was getting blisters on her hands. I considered getting her the Yak Grips but I was concerned about adding to the circumference of her paddle. In addition to Kayaking we also ride horses and have 2 of our own. We had this product called Vet Wrap that we used for more serious wounds for our horses. I decided to wrap her paddle with it where she puts her hands. It works GREAT!!! It only cost a little over a dollar for the generic version at www.horse.com. It's soft, yet grippy, and causes NO damage to her paddle. It's durable, yet very cost effective. Even with Shipping you will easily spend less than 10$, and you will easily have enough for at least 5 paddles. Plus it comes in many colors. I just had to share this!!!

The generic brand is SYR vet flex bandage. You can get the "human" equivalent at a drug store, but you will spend 5x more and have less color options.

I have horses and use this too. My horses are pasture horses. The vet wrap stays on their legs through mud and muck. But, as I use it for wounds, I usually change the bandage every 2 or 3 days, depending on the injury. So, not sure how long it would last. But one roll can bandage a leg 3 times, definitely a good deal$!
