I was getting a bit teary watching it. I e-mailed the link to my Dad, a retired artilleryman and veteran of WWII and Korean War, active duty, and Army reserves during Vietnam, teaching artillery and military strategy.
My thanks also to you for posting.|

which most people consider the be the last "good war" the USA was involved in mainly due to all of the propaganda spewed during and since the war by the media.
No, I was talking about any veteran.|

on Veteran's Day , the vets were asked to stand in our church, which seats 2500. There may have been 50 and most were over 50.
What do you expect?|

Probably make up a large percentage of our volunteer military right now. I guarantee you they are not Democrats. As far as conservative Republicans sending off our youth to war, LBJ was pretty good at that, too. That era seems to be the source of many of your contingencies. Or are you just joking, and I am feeling particularly humorless today?

Hopefully I've got you wrong, but if not you sound as silly as he does.

About as red a region as you will find. It is still in the South. I served in Iraq on a 10-man Military Transition Team drawn mostly from Army Reserve units in VA, WV and MD. Of these 10 soldiers, 9 were white. Of these 9, I'd wager to say that 8 of them vote Republican or Libertarian consistently. Small sample size, I know, but it was representative of 2/3 of the teams of the ~750 who deployed. Call me silly.
