You knew the conservative -tea party wing of the GOP was going to cave on making cuts to military benefits and retirement packages including keeping cost of living increases. Because they found money within the deficits or new revenues (taxes)for this?? Of course not. They just didn't want to make cuts within their own voting base of deficit spending recipients.

Are the old men all gone? The majority of men older than I are veterans, and the majority younger are not. Considering life expectancy, I would think there are a lot more than 3 %. (I served in 'Nam.)
