can you potentially reduce the wear and tear on the boat by avoiding contact with the concrete and asphault ramps? PE is pretty durable on natural surfaces like grass, dirt, small rocks.

I don't baby my plastic boats, but I'm confident it would take many years for the abuse to cause the hull to fail.

If you are ramming it up on shore to keep your feet dry, a nice pair of waterproof boots may be an inexpensive solution.
