The directions for the jerky recipe says marinate 30 min, 12-24 hours (confusing). You need to tell people to re-refrigerate that meat after you place it in the bag with the marinade. I always marinate 24 hours in the fridge-flipping the bag often, this way you get the most flavor out of your marinade. I also place finished dried jerky in a ziplock bag in the refrigerator. Sometimes I include one of those moisture dry packs found in store bought jerky that I save. If I vacuum seal it there is no need to refrigerate it, but I still do...it keeps way longer. On your oven directions...don't you flip the meat over at any point? Even in my dehydrator I flip the meat halfway thru. I would like to try your recipe with chicken. If I do chicken in my dehydrator, do I set it at the highest setting 165 degrees?
