bear boxes

I'd have to agree with Cliff about bears habitating to where everyone hangs their food. I just spent 11 days kayaking in Pukaskwa National Park in Canada where they use metal bear boxes for food. The only bear we actually saw was the one that was walking from one bear box to the next checking each out for left-over food. At least the metal bear boxes closed and latched so your food was relatively safe, but obviously this bear had found left-over food in one before!
