  Grilling while kayak camping

I have taken a 1/4 Steel rod and cut it into several pieces about 18 inch long. I keep these in a pouch made for them. I dig a small hole, put embers in, and arrange the rods over the embers. Pushing the rods into the soil a little on one side helps to keep the rods from shifting. Very light and compact. Can be made to your desired size.
