I think the post is misnamed! While the points are good for women, they are not exclusive to women. I am learning technique or being reminded of techniques that I already know on a regular basis! Techniques work well for us that would like to think that we can do anything we did at 20 something even though we are 50 something and have not kept up a physical activity during the intervening years.
One I really liked when I first tried kayaking with my 18 yo. son is we could race along for a short bit and then run at a more relaxed pace and everyone had a great time.
For older MEN that have not done physical activity for a few years this is a perfect sport. You can move at your pace and if you work at the techniques you don't need a large amount of strength. :)
