Casting For Recovery

What a wonderful article about Heroes on the Water. They are great organization with a terrific mission and positive outcomes for the veterans that it serves.
There is another non-profit organization that also benefits from the outpour of help and donations from paddlers .... Casting For Recovery (CFR). (www.castingforrecovery.org) Last month, at the 6th annual Jamaica Bay Kayak Fishing Tournament, more than 260 fishing kayakers participated and raised funds to help the CFR outreach to women with breast cancer. Many women will now be able to participate CFR fly fishing retreats across the country.
As paddlers and anglers events such as the Jamaica Bay Kayak Fishing Tournament can bring us together for a great time, awesome fishing and a worthy cause.
