Hey Tom, great winter article! It prompted me to nudge our local paddling club on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. We usually don't communicate all winter! I linked them to your article.

The result: I plotted out a season of full moon paddles, and we have two volunteer guides already. The June one will be out to a barrier island to watch the seasonal mating of horseshoe crabs. We'll also probably do TGIF trips after work.

BTW, I'm an author too, with my husband, Bill. We wrote the Florida Keys Paddling Atlas (www.BurnhamInk.com) Wish we were there right now!

Sorry I didn't see this sooner as I always appreciate comments. Sounds like some great paddling options. It was -7 degrees here today so paddling is a few months away still. Keep up the writing and sharing the wonders of sea kayaking with your readers.
