Wow.......... an unpaid commercial for Wal-Mart on paddling.net. Talk about seriously disappointing! Although I do shop there sometimes (usually for food products, all of U.S. origin), I carefully watch labels on any other items to see the origin of the products, and I avoid Chinese, Cambodian, and Vietnamese products if at all possible, due to the horrible condition of Human Rights in each of these countries. The combination of exploitation of workers, governments that still actively kill their populations at a wholesale level (research the plights of the Hmong and the Karens, amongst others), and an American company that takes gleeful advantage of the situation pretty much disgusts me. And this is without going into the situations regarding employees, driving mom and pop stores out of business, shoddy environmental practices, bullying of communities in order to build new stores, etc.
What disgusts me even more is that paddling.net ran the article in the first place. In fact, I'm going to have to re-think ever shopping there again, so perhaps in a backhanded way, Jerry did me a favor!
FYI- Some of you may be surprised to note that this post comes from a very conservative, gun-totin' Floridian... isn't the world a surprising place!?!

I totally agree why write (or espically publish) this type of article. How many small bait and tackle stores were put out of business so the wrtier could have his little bit of fun.
