Here are a couple additional things you can add to you list of items to bring when kayak camping. Binder clips, the kind you use in the office to bound papers together make perfect clothespins. Also, we always pack a sling made out of rope to use to portage the kayaks. The sling is a simple loop the length of your shoulder to your palm. We use the pad from our seat to protect our shoulders and a large carabiner to attach the rope to the towing handles. The sling makes portages much easier and saves your hands and forearms.
