I flyfish fish from my Captiva and keep only two or three fish which I put on a stringer. When making short moves this keeps them live for a while. If more distance needs to be covered fast, I will put them on a short string and slip a bag over them while keeping my catch in the water. This reduces the drag but will still kill them over a longer period. Someday I will take the nautical dry bag filled with ice to keep fish fresah longer.
