Jerry, The advantages we have are so much greater that the boats it is hard to remember them all. Here at home I use the no paddle thought in that if the water has no movement placing your C/K in a position where you can take advantage of wind movement to get the C/K into position to use only the movement after the stroke to get in a cast to the area. I also have another paddle that is a very short to skull. In moving water I use the water motion to get into where I want to make a cast. I allow my C/K to move with the water as in a log's movement and usually do not spook the fish. Water clarity is an issue to be aware of and pratice this in advance. Isn't it fun to sneak up on items other than fish also.(some times you get red faced in what you find :) Wildlife are a hoot.
This is just a passing thought thanks.
