One detail missed is the alergy issue.
Many have a severe reaction to peanuts so paddling with a group and feasting on peanut products may prove hazerdous.
Nost schools here have a ban on peanuts and peanut products because about 2% of the population have an anaphylactic reaction to the product and repeated exposure increases the severity of the reaction.
picture being 10 miles from the nearest road and someone starts to swell, their throat closing off. An Epipen will give you 15 minutes repreave or so hopefully by then Benedryl that is ein everyones emergency pack has kicked in.
My son has a peanut alergy (of the most wicked type) so i know how this works.
Of course I have also had to deal with a heart attack on a longer paddle. The fun never ends.
