We we paddled around the Discovery Islands between Vancouver Island and the mainland a few years ago, and our guide taught (described) a creative way to dispose of our poop...called the sh*tput. The technique begins with selecting a large flat rock, which are plentiful along the shore, and squating over it to do your business. When finished, pick up the rock and put it into the water as a shotputter would put a shot. Burn the toilet paper with the lighter you carry for that purpose. It really works well.
