It?s probably easier just to get a used one from ebay. You can usually pick up some of the $300 models for around $40 including shipping. Even if you use it for maybe two trips, it will pay for itself.

  Countertop ovens?

mmm. Jerky!

It just occurred to me that we could use or countertop oven to make jerky in.. would the process be any different from using a regular oven?

We're planning on going camping again in 2 weeks. I hope to see recipes before then! Ok.. so it's just an excuse to make some beef jerky ;-)
