Another consideration to the question of which boat to buy could be craftsmanship, not to boat’s but the buyer’s. I’ve had a lot of fun making modifications to an old Grumman. The Grumman Double-Ender is considered a mundane, single purpose boat lacking maneuverability and speed. Because I have a place to work, some tools and the time to do it, I’ve turned my Grummy into a pretty decent river runner.
