A good article. Whistles for emergency are lame though, in my belief, but maybe as plan B. I have a small air horn cannister in my pfd.......talk about noise! Sometimes I paddle on the Tennessee River with major boats and fishermen. Secondly take the safe boater class online as suggested, learn about buoys and other neat things.
